INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS (NIRC)

The Nebraska Instructional Resource Center (NIRC), located at the Nebraska Center for the Education of Children who are Blind or Visually Impaired (NCECBVI), provides essential educational materials, including books and instructional resources, to Nebraska students who are blind or visually impaired. Serving as a key liaison to the American Printing House for the Blind (APH) in Louisville, Kentucky, NIRC helps ensure accessible learning for students statewide.

In 2024, Nebraska identified 761 students who are blind or visually impaired, from birth to age 21. These students receive support through various school programs and Educational Service Units (ESUs) statewide.
